Now for sale is this gorgeous '65 Mustang 2+2 Fastback in Silver Blue Metallic with matching Pony Deluxe trim. A superb example featuring the matching numbers C code 289ci 2V V8 and 4 speed manual gearbox. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.
This has got to be one of the sweetest Mustangs we have seen for quite some time, with this standout Fastback being imported to Australia in 2013. Rotisserie restored in the USA prior to importation it is still in stunning condition to this day.
Mechanically the original engine was rebuilt at the time of the restoration. The Fastback is running a 4bbl Holley 600cfm Street Warrior carby, alloy radiator, electronic ignition and 2 3/4" dual exhaust system. The car has been fully serviced with all oils replaced regularly.
The interior is the full factory Pony trim, with fresh carpet and the car features the standard instrument cluster, factory power steering and AM radio. The car is also a 2+2 optioned car allowing for the rear seats to be folded flat. All gauges have been serviced and work perfectly as does the horn. The car also features the centre console and factory tyre pressure sticker in the glove compartment. All glass, chrome and brightwork is in very good condition.
The Fastback is fitted with drum brakes all round, dual exhaust with tips exiting through the rear valence, original driving lights in the grille and 2+2 badging.
The boot is also fully detailed with new fuel tank, new fuel sender and new wiring, and the car is riding on factory Sports Steel rims with White walled BF Goodrich 215/70R14 all round.
The Mustang also comes with a US Certificate of Title, import paperwork and some receipts for mechanical works.
Fastback Mustangs are the most desirable of the early Mustangs and a genuine 2+2 equipped manual car in a hero colour makes for a highly collectible car.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
