Unrestored stunning '67 289 C code Fastback Mustang in Lime Gold Metallic now for sale. Located in Putney, NSW.

A glorious California delivered example arriving in Australia in 1972, this C code Fastback was treated to an excellent mirror image RHD conversion by Bob Williamson in the early 1980s. The Mustang comes fully documented with the original log books and full ownership history. The original owner was a California based Army Lieutenant, a Mr. Jimmie Strodtman. A soldier in the US Army, he was transferred to Australia and brought the Mustang with him in the early 1970s. The Mustang was subsequently sold to a Mr. Kevin Tucker who converted the car to RHD. Then sold to Mr. Ian Newell, a fastidious Mustang enthusiast who purchased the Fastback in 1983 and owned it until 2019. The current owner has enjoyed this special Mustang for the past five years. The Mustang presents in outstanding condition throughout.

The Fastback featured the matching numbers maintained stock 289 C code V8 with 2bbl Carter carby, running through to the original 3 speed T-bar C4 Cruisomatic and 8 inch diff. The Mustang still runs the factory exhaust manifold and dual exhaust system. The car starts in a blink and runs super smooth with a mild quiet note.

The Mustang features some excellent factory options including power steering, AM Radio and the front disc brake option featuring the original 4 spot Kelsey Hayes callipers original master cylinder and booster. The front end suspension and steering have all been overhauled and feel like new on the road.

The body is super straight with no evidence of any rust or repairs and all the panels are day one original to this car. The underside presents very nicely with excellent sills, torque boxes, floors and rails. The paint is very good with an older acrylic respray in the iconic Ford Lime Gold applied in the early 1990s. All chrome and stainless is in excellent condition. And all the glass including the windscreen is original fitment.

The Mustang has covered just over 86,000 miles from new and the interior features the original Medium and Light Ivy Gold crinkle vinyl, the original steering wheel plus a genuine GT350 timber wheel currently fitted, original carpets and rear seat belts with front retractable seat belts fitted within the last five years. All door and window rubbers are original with the exception of a new boot lid rubber kit fitted recently. The car is fitted with the original boot mat and there is a spare wheel, jack and tools.

Running an immaculate set of correct 14 x 7" styled steel rally road wheels with new red wall tyres. The car is also supplied with the original C code Mustang full wheel covers.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
