The XA GT was sold by Byrt Ford, Wollongong in April, 1973 off the showroom floor to a then 33 year old concrete truck driver Mr. Ken Connel. He retained the car until 1982 when he sold the car to a work colleague a Mr. Graham Waters with 6,000 miles on the clock. Graham and his wife Barbara owned the GT as a family vehicle from 1982 until 2005 when the current owner purchased the GT. Garaged all its life, the GT was used mainly by Barbara and for holiday runs which included Lightening Ridge, Bermagui and South West Rocks.

Mechanically, this GT has been meticulously maintained and the factory 351 4V Cleveland has never been removed from the car. The heads were reconditioned in 2005 prior to the current owners purchase but otherwise the car still retains the original factory Motorcraft carby with tag attached. All factory quality control stamps are still visible in the engine bay and in the boot. The GT retains the original radiator, fan shroud, cast iron exhaust headers, horns and wiper motor. The GT has covered a genuine 140,473 miles from new.

The GT has been repainted on the outside by Collis Brothers in Yallah, NSW due to paint crazing but all paint in the engine bay, door jambs and boot is original. Graham religiously fish oiled the entire car guaranteeing that the car has survived in perfect condition. All rubbers are still original including the original boot rubber. Interestingly the jack has never been used and the original spare is still in the boot.

The interior is all day one including the seat trims, door cards, carpets, hood lining, crash pad, steering wheel and all gauges. All plastics are still soft as the car has always been garaged. The under dash Air-conditioning is working and all gauges work as does the Ferris AM/FM radio and the original 8 Track Stereo/Radio is included with the GT. The original seat belts have been stored since 1982 when the second owner fitted the inertia reel seat belts. These original seat belts are in excellent condition and are supplied with the car and can be refitted if required.

The GT is riding on the original 12 slot riveted rims with new red walled Aqua-Tread radial tyres. The original unused Aquajet spare is in the boot.

This special XA GT is one of only 112 with this particular paint finish, one of 43 with paint and trim combo and 1 of 4 with paint, trim and optional extras combination. The XA GT comes with ACCHS verification letter and 18 years of happy motoring memories.

This is a rare opportunity to secure a genuine survivor, unrestored and unmolested XA GT Falcon.

Currently on Historic registration. Ready to enjoy and turn heads, the car can be inspected at our Sydney Showroom. (Ref. 6343)
