1974 Ford Falcon XB GT Hardtop 4spd Man - Yellow Blaze
Fully restored One-of-One XB GT Falcon Hardtop in Yellow Blaze with Black trim running the all matching numbers 351 Cleveland and 4 speed Top Loader manual gearbox. Optioned with the sought after GOLDE Sunroof and for sale from our Sydney Showroom.
XB Falcon GT Hardtops are rare to find nowadays. According to the ACCHS Report, only 941 GT Hardtops were ever built. Around half were fitted with the manual gearbox, 231 were painted Yellow Blaze, only 118 had the same paint and trim combo and this car is a 1 of 1 build with the options fitted. Their rarity has meant that the Hardtop Falcon GTs are keenly sought after by collectors and finding one in this condition with the 4 speed Top Loader gearbox and wind back GOLDE Sunroof is a real find.
Originally sold through Alto Ford, St. Leonards in NSW, this XB GT was purchased by the current owner from a long term owner in WA. The GT was bare metal restored in 2018 to a very high standard. Over $100,000 was spent on the body and paint resulting in a stunning dead straight finish to those beautiful wide XB hips. At the same time the matching numbers 351 Cleveland was rebuilt with the addition of the 4 dot heads. The GT is running a 4BBL Holley, extractors, mild cam, factory manifold, MSD electronic ignition and large thermo fan. The original 4 speed Top Loader, driveshaft and factory 9" have all been reconditioned.
The interior has been fully retrimmed in factory Black and the GT features new carpets, hood lining and door cards. Original to the GT are the seat belts and buckles, centre console, original gauges, dash, switches, steering wheel and crash pad. The glove box has been signed by Bathurst racing legends, John Goss and Dick Johnson.
The GT is riding on 15" Bathurst Globe Wheels with 205/65R15 red wall tyres. The car has an original XB 12 slot in the boot with original tools, tool bag and new rubber boot matt.
The Hardtop is supplied with an XB owners manual and the ACCHS Report verifying the build details and options fitted.
With Falcon GT Hardtops thin on the ground, this is a rare opportunity to purchase a beautifully restored and well optioned GT in one of the killer XB colour combos. Come on down and check out this beautiful Hardtop in our Sydney Showroom. (Ref. 6478)
