Remarkable but true! You are looking at a totally unrestored SURVIVOR class XB Falcon 500 Hardtop 302 V8 in Emerald Fire. If we hadn't seen it in the flesh, we certainly wouldn't believe it. For sale from our Sydney Showroom is undoubtably the best XB Falcon Hardtop we have ever seen. You will be gob smacked at the originality of this Falcon.

It is hard to describe just how good this car is. But if you could imagine you were back in 1974 and the car was 6 months old you'd have a fair picture of the condition of the Hardtop. Originally ordered from B.S Stillwell Ford, in Adelaide, SA and delivered to the owner on the 4th of July, 1974, this Falcon Hardtop was specified with the 302 V8 Cleveland motor mated to a 3 speed column shift manual gearbox and optioned with bucket seats and interestingly a floor console. Front disc brakes and Inertia reel seatbelts were now standard issue, and the high-beam switch was now on the indicator stalk. However, the original owner opted for the standard vinyl floor covering which by the way is in unmarked condition.

The paint measures 50-60 microns over 90% of the car, proof that this is factory day one paint. And the engine bay would be an incredible reference for any restorer with all factory items such as the 2BBL Carter carby, coil, Motorcraft leads, FOMOCO radiator, master cylinder, all clamps, hoses, stickers, paint dabs, single horn etc. still in their rightful place. Even the Carter lean burn climatic control module, original battery leads, fan belt, cardboard heat riser snorkel tube and all original glass including the front windscreen have survived to this day.

The interior reflects the log booked 79,706 km which equates to just 1,626 km for each of its 49 years on the road. Take a look around the interior. The seats look as if they have never been sat on. The door cards, dash, floor vinyl, steering wheel, window winders all look to be in perfect condition. Even the sun visors and hood lining are in very good condition with only a slight discolouration due to age. And even the steering column instructions are still in place should you forget how to operate the steering column key lock.

Open the boot and the original vinyl boot mat is in place as are the factory tools and the spare wheel still shod in the original tyre. Even the original shock absorbers are still there. And the Falcon is riding on 205/70R14 red walled Aquatreads with genuine 12 slots rims, dress rims and caps plus the XB Falcon comes with the original factory steel rims with chrome Falcon caps and excellent BF Goodrich tyres all round.

A four owner Falcon, it is supplied with the original log books and owners manuals and a set of original keys.

This is an one-off opportunity to purchase perhaps the best SURVIVOR grade Falcon Hardtop in existence. What a dream come true for the collector to sit this Hardtop in a Falcon collection or even for the Hardtop collector to sit with a GT Hardtop of the same era. Remember, Going Ford, it's the going thing!
