It doesn't get better than this awesome tuff Street Torana build. A genuine Mandarin Red V8 SL/R Torana now running a small block Chev 383 cui V8, Turbo 350 manualised auto and 9" diff with Billlet Axles and putting 400 tyre frying horses to the ground. You'll want to come check this beauty out in person at our Sydney Showroom.

Built in September 1974 as a Mandarin SL/R LH Torana with Black Golf Ball trim, the current owner has gone to town to build a very special street tuff Torana. with only the best parts used. Six years ago the car was stripped to a bare shell and the rust and damage free body was repainted in the original Mandarin Red paint. Even the floors and boot area have been painted n the body colour. And the Torana has been mini tubbed to allow the fitment of the 9" shortened diff and massive rear rubber.

Mechanically, the original 4.2 L V8 has given way to a 383 cui small block Chev running a Sniper fuel injection 4BBL carby, Edelbrock Bowie Victor JR manifold, MSD ignition and HPC coated extractors. Power goes to the ground via a manualised Turbo 350 gearbox with a 4000 stall and a 9" diff with Billet axles. The Tory stays cool thanks to a 4 core alloy radiator and twin thermo fans. And the exhaust note is thanks to a 21/2" stainless dual system.

One the inside, the Torana has been retrimmed with genuine SL/R black Golf Ball trim with Recaro front bucket seats up front and custom rear seats to suit the mini tub set up. The dash and steering wheel are the original SL/R fitment and the standard shifter has been replaced with a Nitro Ratchet quick shifter. There is also a digital display for the Sniper carby setup. The owner has made provisions for the fitment of a half roll cage if required. There is a Sony Bluetooth Stereo and the Torana is driven 1,767 Kilometres since the build was completed!!

Pulling up the Torana are HQ front disc and Wilwood rears and suspension has been upgraded with adjustable rear coilovers. There is a 100 Litre aluminium drop tank so you'll have plenty of fuel on board for whatever you're planning and the Torana sits on stunning 15" Black Mesh Simmons with polished lip and dish and running Kumho 205/55R15s on the front and Hero Drag 255/60R15s at the rear.

The boot is custom finished in the Mandarin Red body colour with those big mini tubbed rear wheel wells sitting proud.

Impossible to replicate for double the asking price, this Torana is a magnificent expression of old school cool and quality workmanship second to none. This Torana is the perfect street or show machine.
