BRAND SPANKING NEW RESTORATION of a 1976 LX Holden Torana SLR in factory Mint Julep with Black Herringbone cloth trim. Factory L32 and M20 Torana sold new in July, 1976 by Lance Motors in St Marys in Sydney's West. The Holden Historical Services verification letter confirms the rare colour/trim combination of this Torana. And a no expense spared full bare metal nut & bolt rotisserie restoration means everything is either brand new, reconditioned, replated or restored. And in most cases, only genuine original parts have been used. The result. OUT OF THIS WORLD!
Inspection will not disappoint on this one. With only 49 KILOMETRES on the clock, this Torana is presented in brand new condition throughout. The body and undercarriage have been detailed and present as new. All brake, fuel and handbrake lines have been replaced and the front and rear brakes overhauled using the big A9X front brake caliper and booster set up. The mechanicals have been fully reconditioned with the period correct HR prefix engine rebuilt with mild cam, original intake and manifold and rebuilt 2BBL Stromberg carby, the M20 4 speed strengthened, a 2 1/2" stainless exhaust with 316 stainless pea shooter tail pipes fitted and the engine bay has been detailed to look totally day one factory with rebuilt wiper motor, blower fan, replated harness clips, brand new 4 core radiator, NOS hoses and factory stickers and paint markings. All the electrics have been restored with new electrical wiring loom installed plus a new Bosch alternator, AC Delco battery and factory spring battery cables. The front end has been fully reconditioned with overhauled steering rack, new shocks, springs and bushes and the diff has had the seals replaced with new rear shocks and springs.
The SLR body kit, satin blackouts, replated original A9X style chrome bumpers and a brand-new drop tank complete the Bathurst race look. And 17" Hot Wires in 8’s &10’s perfectly complete this tough looking Torana. The original glass is in great condition and a new front screen and full rubber kit have been installed.
The interior has been fully retrimmed including all plastics, carpet, hood lining, door trims, vinyl finishes, dash and cluster. The gauges have been restored and recalibrated and the seat belts and all other interior hardware have been fully restored.
Open the boot and everything is new or reconditioned including the new boot matt, restored GTS spare wheel with Dunlop LeMans tyre and concours restored jack and tools. And the underside of the car presents in concours show condition with gearbox and tailshaft painted in the factory colours, new clutch, new clutch cable and speedo cable, new tail shaft unis fully balanced, replated original bolts, restored original sway bars front and rear plus a brand new 90 litre aluminium drop tank.
The Torana is riding on brand new 17" Hotwires 8" on the front and 10" on the rear fitted with brand new red walled Federal Super Steel tyres.
They don't get better than this one. A terrific high quality brand new restoration to a SLR Torana that is ready to be enjoyed by one very lucky buyer.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
