A fitting tribute to the Moffat/ Bond 1-2 finish in the 1977 Bathurst 1000. Built by Ford and enhanced by Tickford, the Mustang Bathurst '77 Special delivers a mind bending supercharged 727hp and 820Nm of torque. And with only 72 kilometres on the clock, this special Mustang is in brand new condition. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

The Tickford Mustang Bathurst 77 Special was created to commemorate Allan Moffat and Colin Bond's 1–2 win in the legendary XC Falcons in the 1977 Bathurst 1000.

The Tickford Bathurst 77 Special is a perfect blend of modern Mustang performance with authentic period-inspired design cues drawn directly from the original 1977 race cars.

This particular car is Build #66 and presents in as brand new condition, having travelled just 72 klms from new. Ford planned on building 77 examples but only 40 were completed so the build number reflects the owners preference for numbering rather than an actual sequence. Build #66 wears the full Bathurst 1977 livery, accurately replicating the appearance of the Moffat and Bond XCs with all the full suite of mechanical enhancements courtesy of the engineers at Tickford.

These enhancements include a host of upgrades over the standard GT Mustang including a Roush Supercharger producing 727hp and 820Nm of torque, cold air induction, a high flow intercooler and injectors, dual throttle bodies, a remapped ECU, bespoke 3" exhaust and a Harrop oil cooler.

Braking is also upgraded with Wilwood red 6 piston front and 4 piston rear calipers and slotted rotors all round. Tickford also enhanced the suspension and added body bracing front and rear with special 20" wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.

On the inside, the Bathurst 77 Special features body hugging Recaro seats, build plate, a full leather upgrade in the period-correct XC winning colours with Alcantara highlights, an uprated steering wheel and manual shifter with retro styling.

The Bathurst 77 Special is a highly collectible Australian motorsport tribute that delivers genuine supercar-level performance, unmistakable presence, and deep historical significance — all in a package that remains usable, reliable, and engaging on the road.

An outstanding ultra low mileage example of a special limited build tribute to an Australian Motor Sport legend. The late, great Allan Moffat!
