The 1964 Corvette Sting Ray C2 marked a major evolution in Corvette design, featuring independent rear suspension, sharper body styling, and a far more aggressive stance than previous generations. The L84 fuel-injected 327ci engine was the pinnacle performance option of the era when big blocks were not yet available, and renowned for its power, drivability, and racing pedigree.

With only 1,325 fuel-injected Corvettes produced in 1964 , only 660 were installed in convertibles. It is believed that approximately 50 examples were manufactured in the exact specification of this vehicle, making it an exceptionally rare and highly sought-after collector car — particularly in the Australian market, where genuine Fuelie Corvettes are rarely seen.

This stunning example was imported to Australia in 2007 and has had 3 owners during that period. The car underwent an external repaint around six years ago and today presents beautifully, while still retaining the character and authenticity expected of such a rare and collectible Corvette.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 8.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
