1973 Holden LJ Torana GTR XU1 Tribute - Glacier White
The Torana is fitted with a Hercules Competition Engines built 202 equipped with a matching set of genuine triple Zenith Stromberg carbies with original heat insulator spacers, a HSD Bathurst spec head, Solid Crow cam, Chrome Moly pushrods and hydraulic lifters and Yella Terra roller rockers. The motor is cooled via a 3 core copper cored radiator with twin SPAL electric fans. Two piece ceramic coated Pacemaker extractors lead to a custom handmade hi-flow single 21/2" exhaust with dual outlet. Dynoed at 192 HP @5,500 RPM, the Tory comes with dyno sheet, resto and rebuild photos, receipts and a 45 page document summarising the parts used in the build.
The Torana is running a Hercules Engines rebuilt M20 gearbox with new syncros, bearings and seals paired with a reconditioned 3.08:1 Banjo differential. Additionally, the suspension has been upgraded with heavy duty springs and shocks along with front and rear sway bars.
In the boot is a Price Engineering XU-1 fuel tank as used in the 1970s before reproduction XU-1 tanks were available, a second battery that operates the central locking and spare with factory tools..
Brakes and suspension are also fully reconditioned with particular attention to the front lower control arms to enable this Torana to handle like a Bathurst spec XU-1. Lovell springs and Koni adjustable shocks have been fitted and all bushings have been renewed.
Sitting on 13x7" Hotwires with new nuts and washers on Avon tyres or the new owner can opt for 13x6" Bathurst Globe wheels on excellent tyres.
The Torana comes with a 45 page detailed overview of the parts used in the build with photos and full details for future reference.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 8.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
