By the time the UC Torana was released, GMH were concentrating their marketing budgets on the new European styled Holden VB Commodore. In order to differentiate the models, Holden only offered the 4 and 6 cylinder motors for the UC. The V8 engines were for the Commodore only. But Brockie's 6 lap win in the A9X Torana at Bathurst in 1979 became etched into the minds of many Aussie car enthusiasts meaning that quite a few UC Toranas were converted to look-a-like A9Xs.
Like their Falcon GT Replica cousins, the UC Torana was an easy conversion given that the A9X did in-fact use an UC floor pan in their design. Purchased by the current owner in 2016, the UC was stripped and rebuilt, repainted in Alpine White and re-trimmed in the factory Tan with cloth trim combination. The body has been fitted with A9X style wide body flares and the Torana is riding on 15" Globe alloy wheels that fit nicely under the flares. All the factory gauges work and the original steering wheel has been replaced with a SAAS model. The original steering wheel and original doors cards are supplied.
Mechanically, the UC is running a fully rebuilt 253V8 with extractors, an alloy radiator with electric thermo fan, electronic ignition and a Holly carby. The car is just as tidy underneath as it is on top and the owner has fully reconditioned the braking system and all suspension parts.
The rear hatch is presented in immaculate order with new boot carpet, immaculate boot timbers, spare wheel and tools.
Riding on Hankook tyres 205/55R15 on the front and 225/50R15 on the rear. With full QLD registration until 26th July, 2025.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
