For sale from our Sydney showroom is a rare 1989 HSV VN SV LE Wagon. Build No. 50 is one of only 80 ever produced. All were painted in the signature VC Brock colour of Firethorn Red and all ran the 180kW 5 Litre V8.

Released in late 1989, the VN HSV SV LE Wagon was Holden Special Vehicles' first-ever production wagon. Only 80 SV LE Wagons were ever built. Based on the Holden VN architecture, it was powered by the injected 180kW 5.0L V8 and all were finished in a signature Christmas-themed Firethorn red paint scheme with unique interior and exterior styling.

All SV LE Wagons were factory fitted with the MD8 4 speed automatic gearbox. Build No. 50 has been professionally converted to a 5 speed manual. The SV LE Wagon features HSV-tuned sports suspension, color-coded 16-inch alloy wheels with protruding center caps, unique decals shaped subtly like Christmas trees (referencing its holiday-special release), standard roof racks, and a distinct lower front air dam with the standard wagon rear bumpers.

On the inside, the SV LE features premium bolstered sports seats utilising classic VL Walkinshaw-style seat bases and grey velour trim with red piping. The SV LE is fitted with a sports instrument cluster featuring a prominent tachometer flanked by smaller fuel and temperature gauges and a Momo steering wheel.

And each SV LE features an individual build-number on both the firewall and with a matching dashboard tag.

SV LE number 50 is a matching numbers vehicle and is supplied with HSV documentation, HSV Authenticity Certificate, log books and service history. Originally sold through Glendon Motors Holden, Nowra, NSW, the SV LE has covered a genuine log booked 239,650 Klms from new and has recently had a major service with receipt provided.

These HSVs are extremely rare to find and a survivor car in this condition with all supporting documentation is a great find for the HSV enthusiast.

Terms of sale

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 8.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.

Insurance & Transport

Upon receipt of full cleared payment, the Buyer assumes responsibility for the Motor Vehicle and must arrange appropriate insurance cover from that time.

Any loss, theft, damage or incident occurring after full payment, including during transportation or delivery, is the Buyer's responsibility. All vehicle transportation is arranged through independent third-party transport carriers, and AMCS accepts no liability for any loss, damage or incident occurring during transport. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring appropriate transit insurance is in place.
