2000 VTII Commodore Executive - Factory 5.7L Gen III LS1 6 spd Man
For sale is a rare VTII base model Holden Commodore optioned with the super sought after 126 pack 5.7 Litre Gen III V8 and 6 speed manual driveline combo. For sale from Melbourne, Victoria.
For those customers who were after the 5.7 Litre V8 and 6 speed manual gearbox combo and didn't want to pay the extra dollars for a HSV Commodore, Holden offered the 126 Pack. Similar in specifications to the BT1 Police pack, the 2000 VT Series II Commodore Executive with the 126 Pack offered the buyer some important performance goodies including ABS, FE2 Sports Suspension, LSD, 15" x 7" rims and 225 x 60 R15 tyres. Importantly, the 126 Pack spec'd the base Commodore with the 6 speed manual gearbox. A rare option and now keenly sought after by Holden collectors.
So the 126 Pack pretty much took a base Executive Commodore and loaded it with the performance goodies needed to turn a mild mannered Commodore into a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.
For sale is an excellent example of the 126 Pack VTII Commodore. In remarkably good condition throughout, the Commodore is supplied with the original log books and is showing a genuine 195,477 km on the clock. In its original Heron white paint with Pewter Grey trim, this VTII has survived in excellent original condition. Well maintained and still sporting all the original unmodified running gear, this VTII Commodore has some serious get up and go and with full Victorian registration until May, 2024, you're ready to hit the road in a well priced collectable Aussie Commodore classic.
Originally sold through Orion Holden, Emerald, Queensland on the 12th of July 2000, the VT is running the matching numbers stock LS1 Gen III V8 mated to the 6-speed Tremec T56 manual gearbox and 3.46 LSD diff. Recently serviced, the Commodore is super reliable and ready to drive anywhere.
The interior is all original and in good condition for the age and mileage with factory working ice cold Air conditioning, power steering and factory working AM/FM radio with cassette player. The hood lining will need re-gluing or replacing but otherwise the interior presents in good shape.
The Commodore is riding on the Police spec widened 15x7" steel rims with near new Bridgestone Turanza Police Spec tyres plus a matching spare in the boot with the factory tools.
With Victorian registration until 17th May, 2024, this is a great entry point into a collectable Aussie classic car and a great example of the once commonly seen VT Commodores.
