2002 V2 Holden Monaro CV8 - 5,190 Kilometres
Now for sale is this ONE OWNER 2002 Holden Monaro V2 CV8 in as new condition throughout with only 5,190 KILOMETRES on the clock. For sale from Newcastle, NSW.
Monaro Design boss Mike Simcoe and his team would be pleased to see how this passionate Holden owner has maintained his V2 Monaro, the first of the third generation Monaro to hit our streets following 25 years of absence of a full-size Holden coupe. Following the overwhelming response of the public and media to the VT-based Holden Coupé concept displayed at the 1998 Australian International Motor Show held in Sydney, the third generation of the Monaro hit our streets. Having fallen in love with the concept Monaro at the Motor Show, the owner ordered a new Monaro on the spot. And one could not hope for a better preserved example of this first of this series than this stunning Delft Blue Mica Metallic CV8.
Delivered and serviced by Noble Holden of Gosford, NSW, this CV8 is presented with unmarked paint and immaculate Anthracite Black leather trim. Running the all matching numbers original pushrod all-American Generation III 5.7-litre V-8 in unmodified condition except for the fitment of a SS Inductions cold air intake, modified throttle body, extractors and a stainless dual exhaust system. This was done by Noble Holden when the CV8 was six months old. The CV8 features the four speed automatic gearbox and factory diff.
On the inside, the luscious Anthracite leather trim with contrasting colour coded dashboard is in perfect condition. All the usual creature comforts of the CV8 are present and accounted for including ice cold Air conditioning, power steering, power windows and the factory radio and CD player. The CV8 is also fitted with an Auto Watch Proximity Immobiliser. The CV8 comes with all owners manuals, log books and a full service history including two sets of keys. At 3,000 Kilometres, Holden issued a recall and installed revised pistons under warranty.
The Monaro is riding on the original front Bridgestone Potenza 235/40ZR18 tyres and brand new matching Bridgestones on the rear. The CV8 is fitted with the factory 18 x 8-inch 5-spoke alloy rims along with an unused Spacesaver spare and tools.
There was never any doubt that this beautifully designed Coupe would be worthy of the famous Monaro appellation. However, we think you'll agree that this unmodified low mileage CV8 in beautiful Delft Blue makes this a true Aussie muscle car and a worthy successor to the original race conquering HK 327 GTS.
